Jeffrey McIlroy, M.D.
Dr. Jeff McIlroy began his practice in Claremore in July, 1991 with Dr. Clayton Roger’s as his ‘mentor’ in learning the healing art of mental health care within a small community. Dr. McIlroy’s experience in private practice and as Medical Director of the Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at the Claremore hospital quickly taught him the need to address treatment in a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary fashion. This understanding led to his creation and founding of Strength of Mind in 2004. This organization has quickly grown to be a comprehensive outpatient practice of over a dozen providers capable of treating the very young to the very old. Moving beyond the confines of the office walls, he works in developing effective Internet-based psychiatry and telepsychiatry. He also enjoys traveling on Thursday’s to Fairfax, OK to work as Medical Director of their intensive outpatient geriatric psychiatry program, stopping by on the way home to see patients at the OSU Medical School’s psychiatry clinic in downtown Tulsa.
Dr. McIlroy is Board Certified in both General and Geriatric Psychiatry.

A native Tulsan, I have been married for 10 years and have 2 children under the age of 6. A combination of my natural attributes, life experience, and professional training have equipped me to provide therapeutic counseling to individuals, families, and couples wishing to address issues of healing, conflict, concern, or desired growth in their lives. Deb Stone, LCSW, CNS
Deb Stone began life with a desire to serve others and to be one with nature. As a child she rescued bugs and birds and watched nature unfolding. As an adult her interest and intrigue continue to focus on the natural world including humans, individual and family systems. Deb's academic journey began in medical school in 1981 but ended in 1983 prematurely when the desire to explore the meaning of life took hold. In 1987 when answers to life's questions remained nebulous, and clearly more gray in hue, Deb completed a Masters in Social Work, followed by a BSN and Masters in Science.
Deb is currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) an advanced practice nurse degree. She is also certified as a Faith Community Nurse (parish nurse). Her clinical experience include two internships at the Veteran's Administration, inpatient and outpatient social work therapy, psychiatric nursing, outpatient psychiatric clinic medication management and psychotherapy, geropsychiatric program director, and regional clinical consultant for psychiatric units in 15 southeastern state hospitals. At the heart of Deb's practice is the desire to help each individual find their internal wisdom and balance. Such balance comes from adhering to a lifestyle focused on wellness in the physical, spiritual, and mental spheres. Medication and cognitive behavioral therapy can be a part of the continuum of treatment, along with diet, movement, spiritual centering. She believes individuals are a part of a system and thus treatment oftentimes involves other family members and resources. Outside of the office Deb actively serves others as a parish nurse, and volunteer at community support services. She spends time being nurtured by 3 loving dogs, 1 Cockatoo, a garden, and art. |
